Small to Medium Homes - Single Tank, KDF and Carbon $799

CuZn Whole House Single Tank, KDF and Carbon Water Filtration System The CuZn Single Tank KDF and Carbon water filtration system is an exceptional whole house filter. It is an entirely green produc, and a non-backwashing unit with some significant advantages. There is no wasted water and no use of energy when using the CuZn Single Tank KDF and Carbon. It is less expensive than most whole house filters and requires little or no maintenance during its lifetime. When the medias are exhausted you simply purchase a refill kit and replace the old material with the new. The addition of CuZn's newly formulated KDF cubes allow both KDF and carbon to reside in the same tank with no channeling or packing problems

The following CuZn whole house water filter systems include a user-programmable automatic backwashing head. Auto-backwashing filters refresh (backwash) themselves periodically to insure an optimum level of performance and to prevent "channelling". Whole house auto-backwashing filters greatly enhance the performance of softener systems. These models treat up to 500,000 gallons of water. 500,000 Gallon Whole House Water Filter Warranty

When CuZn Water Systems are properly installed and used, they are warranted for:

10-year pro-rated warranty on the tank
5-year warranty on automatic backwashing valves for the 500,000 gallon models
Up to 5 years on the Copper-Zinc Filtration media on non-commercial systems used on chlorinated water supplies for the 500,000 gallon models.
2-year pro-rated warranty on the Coconut Shell Carbon media

Backwashing Frequently Asked Questions

Lots of folks have asked questions about the backwashing head on the whole house system. Here are the three most commonly asked questions and the answers.

How many gallons does it use in the backwash?
Around fifty gallons. It could be slightly more or less depending upon water pressure.

How long does the backwashing last?
It lasts approximately 10 minutes.

What is the flow rate of the backwash water?
5-7 gallons per minute flow rate

Does it have to backwash every day?
It's advisable to backwash daily but not mandatory. Often times systems on municipally treated water backwash once every three or four days. Systems on wells are urged to backwash daily. The frequency of backwash depends greatly upon the quality of water.
